HMO (House of multiple occupation) and Multi-unit Management
David Skeffington has a large number of houses of multiple occupation and multi-unit properties in his own portfolio and understands how best to manage and maximise returns. Skeffington Properties have an extremely good working relationship with the local authority and housing enforcement team.
Skeffington Properties offer a fully managed service within the HMO’s and multi-unit properties management, however no fees for tenancy setup are charged and all the services within the fully managed service above are covered. A fixed rate per unit of accommodation is charged starting at £11 per week. In addition to the fully managed service the fee covers the following:
- Weekly communal area inspections.
- Weekly fire risk inspections.
- In addition to the 3 monthly property inspection, 1 visit per year with the local authority enforcement team is covered.
- A discounted cleaning fee is available for landlords who wish to have the communal areas cleaned. The frequency and cost is subject to an assessment of the property and prior agreement of the landlord.
Note for HMO Management: Should the landlord cancel the agreement for HMO Management before Skeffington Properties has recovered £495, the landlord is required to pay for the services performed.
